[Guinea] - Biogaran takes part in a vast screening campaign for patients aged over 60!

Biogaran took part in the Caravane Santé 3ème âge (Third Age Health Trailer) project, an operation led by the Orange Foundation in Guinea and Santé En Entreprise.

From March 17 to April 1, Biogaran took part in a large-scale screening campaign for people over 60 for cardio-metabolic diseases in partnership with the Orange Foundation in Guinea and Santé en Entreprise

The Biogaran pharmaceutical laboratory participated in a vast campaign to raise awareness, screen and provide medical care for patients over 60 in Guinea. This operation, called the Third Age Health Trailer, led by the Orange Foundation in Guinea and by Santé en Entreprise, was a real success and allowed to bring healthcare to people in need.

This operation, which took the form of a medical trailer, consisted of travelling through various regions of Guinea – Conakry, Kindia, Mamou and Faranah – to meet people aged 60 and over and to raise awareness, screen them and provide them with medical care, particularly for cardio-metabolic diseases. On this occasion, Biogaran was able to donate nearly 10,000 boxes of drugs to treat high blood pressure and diabetes.

This operation is perfectly in line with Biogaran’s desire to offer quality care to all and to be committed to providing patients with appropriate medical care.

The two-week Third Age Health Trailer made it possible to :

– Reach more than 5,000 households

– Raise awareness among more than 2100 people

– Provide medical care for a period of one year on diabetes and hypertension to nearly 1800 people

Biogaran is committed to participating in new projects of this type, not only in Guinea but also in other countries of West and Central Africa.
